Student Teacher Coordinator, Omaha / Council Bluffs / Sioux City

The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Teaching seeks applications for a one-semester temporary position as a Student Teacher Coordinator. This position will coordinate and supervise pre-k through 12th grade student teachers. Duties include placing, supervising, conferencing, and evaluating in addition to serving as a liaison between UNI and school districts in the Omaha / Council Bluffs / Sioux City Regional Student Teaching Center. Position requires frequent travel.
Required qualifications include a master's degree; a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in pre-K, elementary and/or secondary school; knowledge of and experience with educational supervision and evaluation, school curriculum, teaching and learning processes, and instructional strategies; demonstrated ability to network with school administrators and personnel; and proficient or exemplary evaluation from current or immediate past supervisor.
