The Dual Language and English Learner Education (DLE) department offers elementary and secondary bilingual/bicultural teacher preparation programs; graduate certificate programs; a Master of Arts degree in Dual Language and English Learner Education with a Specialization in Critical Literacy and Social Justice and the opportunity to teach in the SDSU-Claremont Graduate School Joint Doctoral Program in Education. DLE faculty members are committed to issues of equity, social justice and multilingualism for all students and communities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the long-term sustainability of the preparation of dual language educators and programs and the professional development of bilingual teachers to elevate DLE's work, research, and continued leadership in California and the nation. Aligned to DLE’s mission and vision, the successful candidate will foster the knowledge, dispositions, and skills of K-12 educators in creating multicultural democratic practices and in bringing traditionally marginalized voices to the center of classroom discourse.
