Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Teacher. Under the supervision of the Education Director of the Center, the Teacher shall be responsible for working within the framework of Sunset Bay Community Services, NAEYC, DOH, DOE, and ACS policies and procedures. Teachers promote early childhood education for children and families both in and out of the classroom by providing sound supervision, developmentally appropriate lessons and community outings, and ensuring the health and safety of all children. Teachers develop positive parent relations and encourage parental involvement and the professional growth of classroom associates. Additionally, teachers conduct regular team meetings, attend staff meetings and seek out professional development opportunities to meet the needs of their classrooms. Teachers must document lessons, observations, assessments and all necessary paperwork.
Minimum Qualifications:To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related fieldTwo years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:Working toward teacher permanent certificationMasters in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field AND Permanent NYS Certification PreferredBilingual Preferred
