The Department of Mathematics at Michigan State University will have one continuing system academic specialist position to begin August 16, 2017.
The successful candidate will work with faculty in the Mathematics and Teacher Education Department at MSU to develop, coordinate, and teach mathematics courses for educations majors. The successful candidate will help develop and deploy assessments of student learning outcomes, will mentor and supervise instructors, graduate teaching assistants, and undergraduate learning assistants, and will join a large and active group of teaching faculty focused on excellence in service course instruction in the mathematical sciences.
Masters - Math or related field
Doctorate - Math or related field
Candidate must have a Master's degree in the mathematical sciences.
PhD preferred, and demonstrated instructional excellence in the mathematical sciences. Experience with instruction and development of mathematics courses for education majors is desirable.
