The University Child Development Center exists to encourage and support each child to grow to his/her fullest potential in all areas of development, thus creating a positive self-concept and a realistic opportunity for success in life. Teachers work with children individually and in small and large groups, identifying their strengths while learning how to work together as a community.
The Assistant Teacher will work in a classroom at the Child Development Center with children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 months. The position involves a collaborative effort in supporting the functions of the classroom as a whole under the supervision of a Head Teacher and an Associate Teacher. Staff are required to maintain all NAEYC Standards, Keystone STAR Standards, and DHS regulations. Staff member must maintain 24 hours of professional development annually and complete all other required center and state trainings.
