Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a full time, tenure track position as a shared Assistant Professor position in the Education Administration and Teacher Leadership graduate programs. This position is housed in the Department of Educational Studies, Leadership and Counseling to begin August 2018.
Teaching assignments will include a variety of education administration, teacher leadership, teacher education and related courses at main and extended campuses, with the possibility of online coursework. Graduate student advising and engagement in scholarship and service consistent with the requirements for tenure and promotion, inclusive of collaboration with local school districts and community agencies, is expected. Faculty are expected to actively pursue involvement in appropriate professional organizations at the regional, state, and national levels. Faculty will be expected to supervise doctoral students on dissertations and to work on dissertation committees.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Doctorate in Education Administration, Education Leadership or a related field by June 1, 2018.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Experience as an administrator in k-12 public schools for a minimum of five years is required. Experience related to meeting the academic or professional development needs of graduate students or public school teachers is required.
