The Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester invites nominations and applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Artist Teacher in Collaborative Piano and Director of the MM and DMA Degree Programs in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music, beginning fall semester 2019. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. The candidate should have a distinguished career as a collaborative pianist on a national or international level, with significant experience teaching graduate collaborative pianists as well as administrative expertise.
Teach a full studio class in addition to courses in collaborative piano (for example, Sonata-Duo Repertoire; Pedagogy of Accompanying). Administrative responsibility for all collaborative piano services at Eastman. Supervise and mentor the graduate assistants who are coaching and accompanying in all departments of the school.
