Tenure Track Faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor available beginning August 12, 2019. Ball State University seeks an individual with a commitment to collaborative discourse, interdisciplinary inquiry, and entrepreneurial learning practices as a sound designer and teacher within a flourishing BFA/BA/BS program in design.
Summer start-up packages and reimbursement of moving expenses are available, as are ASPIRE start up grants to entry level faculty members to help further their enrichment as an educator and artist.

Master's degree in Theatre or related discipline from an accredited institution.
One year of teaching experience.
One year of experience as a sound designer and audio mixer in professional venues.
MFA or MS in Sound Design or Multi-Media.
Significant professional experience as a sound and live audio mixer in professional venues.
Three years of teaching experience at the university/college level.
Computer competency in stage sound applications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
