GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Centers for Early Childhood Education Lead Teacher is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Early childhood education field study students, interns and work study students
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Centers for Early Childhood Education Director and Early Childhood Center Assistant Director
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to attend to the physical requirements necessary to teach in preschool classroom and playground on a daily basis
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt, benefits-eligible position within the APA bargaining unit at the rank of Staff Assistant in the Early Childhood Center. Benefits include health, dental, retirement, tuition remission, and generous leave packages according to the APA bargaining unit.
The Early Childhood Center is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. year round. The regular work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday with availability to work a rotating schedule between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and a few evenings for various family events at the center each year. The annual salary range for this position is $34,000 to $35,100.
Framingham State University conducts background records checks according to the Massachusetts Early Education and Care requirements, which include Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Department of Children and Families (DCF) checks relative to prior criminal convictions and pending cases, Sex Offender Registration Information (SORI) checks relative to prior sexual offenses committed as an adult or juvenile, and finger print checks on final candidates prior to an offer of employment for all positions.
