The Assistant Teacher will work in a classroom at the Child Development Center with children ranging in age from 18 months to 3 years of age.
The position involves a collaborative effort in supporting the functions of the classroom as a whole under the supervision of a Head Teacher and an Associate Teacher. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for supporting daily activities and programming in the classroom, interacting with and supervising a group of children, and maintaining daily communication with families. Some supervision of University students is required. Assistant Teachers are required to maintain 24 hours of Professional Development during their employment and maintain all DPW, NAEYC and Keystone STARS requirements.
