This position will work collaboratively with Western New York community liaison pre-K-12 school districts, who provide intensive, mentored field experiences and student teaching opportunities. The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at the University at Buffalo (UB) prepares students to be highly-qualified teachers in numerous fields. Housed in GSE, the Teacher Education Institute (TEI) is most closely affiliated with our Department of Learning and Instruction (LAI). This position:

The employee in this position must possess: (1) a minimum of a bachelor's degree, NYS initial certification (or equivalent from another state) with one year teaching experience; (2) technology proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with the capacity to learn new programs/technologies; (3) the ability to make independent decisions related to tasks assigned and utilizing established policies and procedures; and (4) excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
In addition to the minimum position qualifications, it is preferred that the employee possess: (1) a relevant master's degree, with one to three years of teaching experience in pre-K-12 schools; (2) experience working with a range of teachers and teacher educators; and (3) a beginning knowledge of the facets of the regents reform agenda (e.g., common core learning standards, clinically rich teacher preparation, performance assessments).
