Under direct supervision of the Department Chair, the Administrative Support Coordinator I will serve as one of two administrative support staff in the Department of Teacher Education and Foundations. The incumbent will provide clerical support to the department chair. In addition, they will act as the primary receptionist for the department office, answering phones and assisting visitors which may include credential and graduate students, faculty, staff and other visitors. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining knowledge and compliance with policies and procedures related to department programs and variety of student related paperwork, travel, purchasing, faculty recruitment and maintaining faculty files. Other duties include coordination of meetings, events and related hospitality. The incumbent will also be required to participate in college events outside of regular office hours including commencements, credential ceremonies and any other events supported by the college.
