The Peabody Preparatory is pleased to announce an Adjunct voice teaching position in the Voice Department at the Peabody Preparatory, a division of the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, commencing September 1, 2019.
Candidates should be experienced in teaching students of all ages and levels (beginner to advanced) as part of the Peabody Preparatory's growing Voice Department. Candidates should be comfortable teaching both private voice lessons and small group classes for vocalists ages 9-12 and 13+, as well as adult learners. Opportunities for teaching are available at the Peabody Preparatory's downtown Mt. Vernon and may also be available at our campuses in Annapolis, Howard County, and Towson.
Located in the heart of Baltimore's Mount Vernon Cultural District, the Peabody Institute was founded in 1857 as America's first academy of music. Today, through its degree-granting Conservatory and its community-based Preparatory school of music and dance, Peabody trains musicians and dancers of every age and at every level.
The Peabody Preparatory shares space with the Peabody Conservatory in downtown Baltimore, and also has three satellite branches in the communities of Towson, Annapolis and Howard County, MD. The Preparatory has approximately 2,000 students studying all orchestral instruments, guitar, piano, voice, dance, theory, composition, early childhood, orchestra, chamber music and more.
