The Outreach Teacher (Early Interventionist) will travel in Davidson County working with families with children ages birth to 3 years old with developmental disabilities. You will be coaching and engaging parents in home visits and supporting parents' learning of strategies that can be used in the home within their daily routines for the specific developmental disability that the children have. With this, you will develop and maintain positive relationships with parents while interacting with parents in a friendly, professional manner.
For nearly four decades, the Susan Gray School has served young children with developmental disabilities and young children who are at risk for developmental delay. The school has the distinction of being the first nationally recognized inclusive preschool where typically developing children learn alongside children with disabilities in an educational setting.
