● Earned doctorate (ABD considered) in Teacher Preparation Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or closely related area;● Experience working with undergraduate teacher education candidates;● Demonstrated experience and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence● Three years minimum teaching experience in P12 public school settings;● Evidence of scholarly potential or established record of scholarship/creative activity;● Commitment to working in a community of practice, to a social constructivist perspective of teaching and learning, to the integration of field experiences in professional coursework, and to working with diverse populations;● Commitment to educating for social justice and the development of teaching candidates who are prepared to navigate a diverse world;● Eligibility for North Carolina teaching licensure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include teaching pre-service education courses at the undergraduate level. Pre-service education courses may include elementary education methods courses that include curriculum design, assessment and practicum supervision. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating in partnerships with area schools and teaching at off-campus sites. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
● Experience teaching courses to undergraduate elementary education candidates;● Experience with supervising and mentoring preservice elementary education teacher candidates in the field and/or coordinating/monitoring supervision of candidates' placements;● Research and teaching experiences working with linguistically and culturally diverse students and their families;● Evidence of authentic and standard-based assessments used in elementary school settings.
