The Associate Teacher supports the Head Teacher in the planning and the implementation of an early childhood program for a class of children, 6 weeks-18 months.
Associate Teachers are responsible for supporting the Head Teacher in maintaining the classroom, helping to assess children, and maintaining care, programming, and safety for all children. Associate Teachers act as the Head Teacher in that teacher's absence, supervise staff and University students and are responsive to parent inquiries and needs.
Associate Teachers are required to maintain 24 hours of Professional Development and maintain all DPW regulations, NAEYC standards, and Keystone Stars requirements during their employment.
This position requires a minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
