The Danville Independent Schools is a K-12 public school district serving students for over a century in central Kentucky. It boasts deep roots in the arts and theater, forensics, cultural diversity, community service, and athletics. Almost 450 people work in the Danville Schools, with the shared mission of providing our 1,800 students with an education that gives them the tools to thrive in college, in careers, and as active members of their communities. Year-round we look to recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing workforce that fully reflects the rich cultural diversity of central Kentucky.
Our district is made up of four schools. Mary G. Hogsett Primary School houses our youngest students from preschool through first grade. Edna L. Toliver Intermediate School houses students in second through fifth grade. John W. Bate Middle School is made up of sixth grade through eighth grade and Danville High School houses ninth through twelfth grade. Our hardworking and dedicated staff is committed to helping students maximize their learning potential and equip them for life after graduation.
