Teacher
The Teacher is responsible for setting the standard of professionalism within the classroom, directing other team members in following the curriculum, procedures, and schedule set forth by the administration of the center. The teacher is responsible for providing a warm, nurturing classroom environment for children and a welcoming environment for parents and families. The teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a classroom portfolio, an individual child portfolio for each child in the group, observing and assessing the children on a continual basis, and using that information to plan activities that are age appropriate, engaging, and challenging. The teacher is also responsible for open communication with parents and families and in the overall smooth operation of the classroom
