Job Purposes::
The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks a part-time Art teacher to join an existing school faculty and staff for the 2022-2023 school year. Teaching experience and licensure is preferred, but other relevant experience will be considered. The position is part-time (40% FTE). The successful candidate will teach two periods of Art per day.
Required Qualifications::
Bachelor's degree by August 1, 2022
Art teaching license or qualified for alternative license by August 1, 2022Preferred Qualifications::
K-12 Teaching Experience
Experience with project-based or problem-based learning
Master's degree or masters level coursework completedEssential Functions and percent of time::
Plan, teach, and enhance high school Art course content – 65%
Lead a group of students during advisory (3 days per week) – 25%
Collaborate with other teachers to develop and refine content & materials for Chinese courses and to address students challenges – 10%Working Conditions::
Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
