Job Purposes::
The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks a high school physics and engineering teacher to join an existing school faculty and staff for the 2022-2023 school year.
Required Qualifications::
Bachelor's degree conferred by August 1, 2022.
Current Teacher certification/licensure or qualify for alternative license.
Preferred Qualifications::
Master's degree
CTE License – Engineering
Experience teaching engineering and physics to high school students
Project Lead the Way teaching experience
Strong communication skills
Prior experience with Project Based Learning
Essential Functions and percent of time::
Develop, plan, and teach lessons – 80%
Assess students progress toward learning targets using a variety of creative methods – 5%
Collaborate with other faculty – 5%
Conference with students, parents and colleagues regularly – 5%
Attend scheduled grade level, department and faculty meetings as scheduled – 5%
Working Conditions::
Length of contract is one year contingent upon funding.
