Job Summary:
Little Bucs, in the Center of Excellence in Early Childhood Learning and Development, is seeking to fill two (2) Teacher 1 vacancies. This is a 10-month contract and contingent on grant funding.
The Teacher 1 is responsible to the Director of Little Bucs Student Child Care for serving as a major caregiver for children in an assigned classroom as well as:
- planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for indoor and outdoor learning environments;
- designing and maintaining stimulating physical environments;
- supervising and mentoring college students and field experience students; and
- other related duties as assigned.
A clear TBI Criminal History Background check is required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood development, early childhood special education, child and family studies, or child and youth development
- at least 1 year of experience in a planned program for young children (relevant student worker, graduate student, and/or part-time experience may be considered) .
- Training required by TN DHS must be completed on the first day of work or prior to prior to working with children.
