Description:
The Children's Center is recruiting for three temporary Early Childhood Assistant Teachers for a three month period.
The temporary Early Childhood Assistant Teachers will work cooperatively with the other classroom teachers to support the childcare program.
Minimum Qualifications:
* AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
* One full year of continuous teaching experience with infants and toddlers in an early childhood center.
The temporary Early Childhood Assistant Teacher must :
-maintain continuous enrollment in the Office of Child Care Central Background Registry;
-be current with Infant-Child First Aid/CPR;
-have a current Oregon Food Handler's card;
-be trained in and know the state laws regarding reporting suspected child abuse.
Preferred Qualifications:
* BA or BA in progress in ECE, Child Development, Child, Youth and Family Studies is strongly preferred.
* Knowledge and experience with RIE and Reggio-inspired teaching practices.
