Teach as called in. This is occasional work, with potential for short-term, full-time employment
Provide developmentally appropriate experiences for young children
Employ classroom management that supports a play based philosophy
Interact in a child centered manner
Use appropriate language with the students
Teach alongside regular staff teachers
Communicate easily with children between the ages of 3 months- 5years of age
Communicate effectively with other staff
Follow requests as per the teachers and administration
Summary of essential job functions
Arrive in a timely fashion
Be prepared to be working while on the floor, or at small tables
Be comfortable going outside with children and in pushing large strollers
Clean up room as needed
- BA in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Human Development or related concentration required
- Experience working with children between the ages of 3 months- 5 years required
- DOI fingerprinting complete required
Preferred
- Music background
- Speak a language other than English
