The Division of Graduate and Professional Studies at Stonehill College invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor. This person would join the College’s full-time faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise and a commitment to fostering diversity among faculty and students. This is an on-campus position, and a qualified candidate must teach on the physical Stonehill College campus as well as online as we expand our online offerings.
Graduate Teacher Education at Stonehill College seeks an experienced, knowledgeable, and collaborative researcher to join our growing graduate teacher education department in the division of graduate and professional studies. The candidate will hold a faculty appointment and will have administrative, teaching, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission of the department and the College.
The successful candidate will have a strong disciplinary background in the field of math/science teacher education. Teaching responsibilities include three courses per semester with the potential for research release time, departmental and division service, research and professional development, and opportunities for leadership as Coordinator of Math/Science teacher licensure programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Curricular oversight of math/science teacher licensure programs.
Teaching, service, & scholarship.
Departmental duties including assessment.
Work closely with the Director of Graduate Teacher Education.
Work closely with the designated licensure officer.
Assisting with professional development, conferences, and admission events.
Education and Experience
Ph.D. or Ed.D. (Ed.D. must have a strong research agenda). Expertise in mathematics/science teacher education or teacher education/teacher preparation. A strong understanding of Massachusetts licensure is strongly preferred.
