We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic English Language Teacher to join our team at Al-Quds Bard College (AQB) to teach English language at the Arab Institute School for Boys. The program is committed to academic excellence and holistic development. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and demonstrating a commitment to professional growth.
Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
Employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Collaborate with colleagues to develop, refine, and implement a dynamic English curriculum aligned with educational standards and school prep objectives
Encourage active participation and critical thinking through interactive lessons and discussions
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth by attending workshops, trainings, and other professional development opportunities, and apply that in the classroom
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the professional learning community
Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues
Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular activities
Work collaboratively with AQB and the school's administrative teams to support their mission and vision
Engage in school activities beyond the classroom to enhance the overall school experience for students
Bachelor?s degree in English, Education, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
Previous teaching experience is an advantage
Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
Strong command of the English language and excellent communication skills
Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
Strong classroom management skills
Empathy, patience, and the ability to motivate and inspire students
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Flexible and open to new ideas and teaching methods
