Alabama State University, Academic Affairs/College of Education, invites applications for the position of Teacher Education Center Computer Lab Manager. The Computer Lab Manger, under supervision of the Director of Teacher Education Center, will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities for the computer lab.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the selection of computer hardware and software
Provide informational handouts for national standardized tests
Work effectively and systematically with university offices
Create a friendly, and helpful environment for assisting students
Work with other student services areas to develop centralized/electronic data management systems that are compatible with compliance relative to state licensing, state program approval, and accreditation standards
Assume a supporting role in the movement to electronic storage documents
Conduct workshops, seminars, and programs to facilitate academic success
Maintain a database on the TEC's participants and patrons
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in using technology to enhance student development and to manage data are required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
