Job Description: Join an innovative and energized faculty dedicated to the preparation of teacher candidates, leaders and change agents focused on school reform and social justice. The Annsley Frazier Thornton School of Education at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky invites applications for a one-year term clinical 9-month, non-tenure track Clinical Professor position in Teacher Education. We are seeking applicants with knowledge and experience in generalist education and equity issues in education. This position has an August 2022 start date.
Primary responsibilities will be to work with students and colleagues in the School of Education and across the University and Community to teach general education courses and courses focused on equity issues in education. Our new colleague will demonstrate dedication to high-quality instruction, participation in all school accreditation activities, and service to candidate's professional field, university, and community. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their scholarly interests, teaching, and service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Job Requirements:Required Qualifications include the following:
- An earned doctorate in Education or a related field from a regionally and nationally accredited university
- A minimum of three years working with P-12 populations
- Evidence of excellence in teaching
- Demonstrated understanding of equity issues in education
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications include the following:
- Experience with K-12 education
- Experience with online teaching
- Experience in supporting and mentoring college students
- Experience teaching classroom management/classroom climate courses
- Demonstrated interest in collaboration with school districts
