An Assistant Preschool Teacher is needed to assist the Lead Teacher in a preschool classroom for children 3 to 5 years of age and support departmental needs. Prefer Bachelor's Degree. Ability to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of child development with a focus on social constructivist theory and blended practices. Assume total responsibility for safety of children and implementation of planned activities in the event the Lead Teacher is absent from classroom. Must be able to meet Ohio State Licensing requirements which includes medical and BCI and FBI criminal checks. This position requires mandatory on-going trainings as required by the State of Ohio and Head Start regulations. Apply By: Open until filled.
Location: Arlitt Center - On UC Main Campus
One (1) year of experience working with preschool-aged children.
In lieu of an Associate's Degree, will also accept two (2) years of experience and Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
